I passed

You are 100% Lutheran! This is most certainly true.

Nicely done! Martin would be proud of you! You may or may not have room for growth in understanding Lutheran terminology and culture. Good thing Salvation is by Grace and not by merit. We can add nothing to what God has done for us in Christ Jesus. But it never hurts to learn a little more about the church on earth. Thanks for taking the quiz!

I have returned home from St. Louis, inspired enough to take this quiz. 100% as well. Although, I thought I was wrong about where Luther died. Apparently not.

    What had you in STL?

Visiting a friend who was called there, and the Mrs’ father goes to the Sem now. I had to do my yearly computer fixing for him. Good times.

Read a good book, or part of it, there as well. “The End of Words” by Richard Lischer. Very interesting. He mentions plagiarism in talking about sermons (in relationship to the early church reading each others sermons – and giving attribution for it. Preaching wasn’t for the sake of being novel but faithful).

It reminded me of a Craddock sermon I heard as well, where he’s talking to pastors at some conference about some sermon material offers that came in the mail (in 1986), like 52 weeks of sermons for a dollar. His comment? Worth every penny.

A few questions from a blog idiot

How do you keep the spammers from eating you alive? i\’ve seen blogs with nothing but spam postings.

How do you keep some left wing extremist from posting racist or defamatory rhetoric? and if you cant stop them, what are you legally liabel when they do?

can viruses be posted to blogs?

  6. OSC says:

Many blogs offer spam filters. Otherwise, if someone posts filth in my comments I simply delete the comment and/or block the commenter. WordPress has some pretty intuitive tools for managing comments.
